Would it be possible to permanently glue/weld this T fitting.I'm thinking it's only gravity fed. Can't find this part anywhere which leads me to think it may be a permanent fixture on carb.

Re: V6 Carb rebuild.1988 135 HP....snapped Fitting.Cant find part.

Did you try to remove it, and why? It's only a passage to the space behind the throttle plates.

I'm thinking you could silver solder up a T out of copper tubing, drill the carb out for a tight slip fit, and install it with loktite green sleeve retainer.

There's a possibility that Arrow Tech, who I work for sometimes, might have the small weld T in stainless. That's what they do (high tech plumbing)

Im still trying to figure why I did this???I've tried to remove broken T fitting with "Easy Out" tool...won't budge. Is this actually threaded or fixed.I've also ordered part # 22-64706.fitting,
and from what I can make out it looks like it's threaded.Does this hole need to be air tight,I'm thinking of bypassing middle carb and running enrich line direct to bottom carb.

You'l probably need a squirt in the middle carb also. Worst case, when you get the new part you can figure out the thread, drill out the old one oversized, plug the hole with a piece of aluminum rod, and drill and thread a new hole.

Bet you don't do that again.:D

These are pressed in(tapered fit) and you can flip carb and use a small punch an tap it out. Use green loctite and puch a dimple next tofiting to lock new one in place...

If its tapered then ive ordered the wrong ?":>? part from US.To punch it out would be difficult due to being recessed in a tight cavity.Ive looked everywhere for this part.Anyone know the part number. If its tapered then i can drill it out.I was being careful not to hurt outer threads, dont need to worry now...or i could weld old one back on...very confused.
John, even as i twisted my multi grips over the fitting i was thinking.....what am i doing????

Before you proceed further with this charlie foxtrot, have you sourced a replacement carb just in case.

If it doesn't tap loose easily, don't wail on it till you've broken the casting.

Probably the proper thing to do at this point is to drill it out slightly undersized and use the right sized taper reamer to clean it up. You need the new fitting for dimension before you do that.

Looked everywhere can't find the part. Was going to silver weld the old part then heard about "JBWeld"which stands up to high temps, oil and fuel.Anyone ever used this stuff. Will attempt this on the weekend after cleaning carb.

It's pretty good stuff, but I wouldn't just try to butt glue it. I'd silver solder a T out of small tubing, either copper or steel, and drill the carb out for it. If it fits pretty tight, use loktite green sleeve retainer to hold it. If it' sloppy, use duct tape ....er JB weld.

Just an update on broken T fitting (enrichener).Found some 3mm copper tube from hobby shop.Drilled into carb and into fitting and fit copper tube with JB Weld to give a stronger seat. This stuff is like steel. After pulling most of my hair out,job is done, and I'll never try and unscrew a tapered/punched fitting again...lol.

Now you have your very own custom carburetor. JB weld is great stuff.
