v6 johnson gt 150

Hey guys i've got no spark on my 89 Johnson gt 150. The charging system has not been working on it (stator) im guessing. But now i have no spark! Noticed that the regulator/rectifier has a hole blown in it. So could the regulator and stator be my only problem? just purchased a book for it but have not had a day off to look at it. hoping for some insight on here for a quick fix

Your 150 has the standard (low amp) charging system. The charging system with the combination regulator/rectifier are a separate system from the ignition system. You have two electrical system issues that are usually unrelated to each other. Hopefully, you have an original factory service manual-it has excellent troublshooting tips for both systems.
