Vacuum line for Suzuki 2.5HP 4 stroke outboard

Hi all,
Had to remove the carb on the above outboard as the fuel had been sitting in it for quite a while, and needed to be cleaned. When I disconnected the fuel pump, I noticed it was leaking, so I have ordered a new pump.
I could not remove the grey vacuum line as it was deteriorated and so cut of a small section at the end, and now I've noticed this little brass jet? in the end of the line. Of course now I don't have enough hose between it and the end to put back onto the fuel pump.
Can someone tell me if all vacuum lines have this device, and if so what it is? I'm thinking some sort of fuel metering device but ?
What do I have to do to replace this 'Thing"?
Any help appreciated.

All vacuum lines do not have such a device. Appears to be a restrictor of sorts to help dampen the pressure changes within the hose.

What year 2.5 motor? Do you not see the part in the applicable parts catalog?

Just push it a bit further into the hose ....or cut the hose to get it out and then stuff it into a new bit of hose if the old hose is starting to deteriorate ....bit of grease on it so it slides in easy ....Bobs yer auntie

Thanks Mc Tool....just wasn't sure if it was pressed in or not....the original hose is okay so I'm glad I just have to push it further in....appreciate the help.

Mc Tool......so if I push this further down in the hose with a dowel or something that fits the ID do risk damaging the brass in any way?

Think I have a problem.....here's what AI just pulled up....

To replace the brass restrictor (or jet/orifice) inside the vacuum pulse line of your 2017 Suzuki DF2.5 outboard, you must replace the complete vacuum hose assembly, as the restrictor is permanently embedded inside the rubber line during manufacturing. Suzuki does not sell or list the internal brass plug as a standalone part on Crowley Marine OEM Diagrams. [1]

apparently that hose connects to the fuel pump, not the carburetor istself, did you check on the diagram for the fuel pump?
it shows 3 hoses

is it the line #11 on that diagram?

The hose goes from the fuel pump to the rear of the carb.

there are 3 lines going to the pump.
look at that diagram and see if #11 is the one you are talking about

99yam40....apologies, but the fuel pump diagram does not replicate my fuel pump. Both outlets on mine are one the same side, and side by side.

From what I can make out, it's #2.....carb to pump

there is only one line to the carb, and that is for gas to fill the carb bowl
the pump has 3 lines,
the pulse,
the fuel into pump
and the fuel out of the pump to the carb

If you look at the photo I included,you will see the bottom part of the lighter grey hose is attached at the back of the carb.... I'm sorry, I don't know what it's called, but that's the one that needs replacing.

From what I am seeing the hose is still available. The jet from Suzuki, apparently not.

But if really needed I suspect www.jetsrus.com could come up with one if needed.
