I'm wondering if anyone can peg a value on this motor? Freshwater only, runs strong, used only 4 months a year. I will do a compression check. What else should I inspect during a quick pass, first inspection?
skategoat.........i would also check lower unit for milky oil or chunks,look at all electrical connections very carefully,can you test it on a boat?it mat sound good on muffs but put a load on it.......how about bringing it to a good local wrench???it might be worth it to have someone else check it out. <br /> <br /> ***1971 18' winner 1969 115 jonny***

Phat,<br /><br />When I was looking for a used/rebuilt engine last year, the best I could find for an 80's era Evinrude 90 was $2200.<br /><br />$1500 is low.<br /><br />I think a used 88 Evinrude 90 would sell for about the same - $1500.
