Hey guys I stumbled across a really clean Merc and the guy says he is askin $1800 for it. I was thinking of offering $1500. Does that sound reasonable? I mean it is the beginning of winter....

Oh 1 more thing nada guides said 7,500 brand new and 1100 average retail.

Nada doesn't come close when it comes to used outboards....That motor is Nor Cal is worth every penny of $1800. I buy and sell outboards as a hobby and I would sell it in the spring for $2300.....Just my 02.....

Well that's good to hear, because it is a marine dealer. He is telling me if I give him a $300 deposit he will have the engine fully serviced for me for when I go to pick it up. He won't budge at all on the price.
