Re: valve clearance help

Intake.........007-.009
Exhaust........012-.014
These are not adjustable like a automobile, they have a wear pad of different thickness to adjust lash.

Re: valve clearance help

yes I know that, but I need to know the clearance will 0.009"-0.013" work for the IN/EX so I can shim it out. Thanks and I need the rod bolt torque also please. I cant believe the rods and camshafts are made by Ford, I know Ford and Yamaha are in bed together so is it true the powerhead made by Yamaha?

Re: valve clearance help

I like to set mine to the tight side but what you have should work. The rod torque is set this way: tight to 204 INCH pounds 1st, then 36 FT LBS the a additional 90 degrees
