Valve covers??

I have a 1988 merc 5.7---question is?? Do I have to pull exhast manf off to change valve cover gaskets--Thanks Steve

With a magnetic socket, just the right elbow's, extensions and you being bent in ways not thought possible I would still say 100% easier. If you also had figures a 1/4" thick and 8" long then I would say 95% easier.

And just to round out the opinions, Sometimes you have to, depending on the manifolds. I have had them that will just clear, and some won't.
