What point do I line up on the flywheel of a T-8 to set the belt position? The cam pulley has the arrows, so I lined #1 up with the arrow on the block, but I cant find an indicator on the flywheel. It's the flywheel with the teeth for electric start, if that makes a difference.
Thanks,
Eric

Re: Valve timing on 8hp 4-stroke

I've already stripped the threads on a flywheel puller trying to get the flywheel off to see the pulley. It would be a huge help if someone could just tell me where to lign up the flywheel or better yet the keyway.
Thanks,
Eric

EDIT: Got it together by looking at another motor. The keyway faces straight back when the cam #1 arrow is facing the arrow on the block.
