You are on to something here. Maybe if I bought a used semi removed the sleeper and stretched the frame 10ft I could haul my 32ft express cruiser and save $300 dollars a month in moorage.:D

I used to think about doing something like this too. I thought it would be easier. But when I think about it now, trailers are pretty easy. dealing with a super long wheelbase truck, trying to do a 3 point turn in it, now that would be a real pain in the ***.

I think it would be a lot simpler to just learn how to back a trailer.

Some local drag boaters have done a similar thing, except they started with a Chevy Lumina as their base vehicle. Here's a video someone put on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBNq0NlEp78&feature=related about 30 seconds in they start to load it on the tow vehicle.

But they don't run down the road with it.
THey haul the car in a trailer, and just use it to launch n load.

Could have done the same thing with an atv and trailer.

True, but you have to admit their way is much, much cooler. They are one of the only drag boat teams that draws a crowd when they launch and retrieve, not just when they race. Sometimes it's fun to do something just because it can be done (and done in a safe manner for all involved.)
