I bought a 1960 boat with 1962 40hp rude a while back and today the guy gave me some stuff he said belonged with it ..

One was this prop which I thought was was neat

It is a Lesnor Maehr Multi-Pitch Model OBM-1T and I did some searching and found very little about them

Just thought I'd show it here for kicks

Re: Variable Pitch Prop

I just picked one up for my 33 Ski-Twin. It's a OBM-1. Have you tried it?

Re: Variable Pitch Prop

Looks like a pretty neat solution for special applications requiring frequent prop pitch changes?...I know variable pitch props are used a lot on airplanes...but boats?

Re: Variable Pitch Prop

I've had a couple over the years, both missing one blade. Sold both to other people with a missing blade so they could replace their missing one...

Re: Variable Pitch Prop

I've never seen a prop like this. Was it a Johnnyrude thing?? I've never had or used anything but a Mercury.
