I Try And Get Mine Done Every Year. They Do Free Inspections At Lake Pontchartrain The Weekend Before And The Weekend Of Memorial Day In Kenner

Never been boarded underway. NPS checks my boat every time before we launch for a trip.

Well if you mean safety inspected by big brother, never. I don't trust government to tell me what's safe or not, they only have their financial interests in mind and in my experience their representatives are typically not very bright. Regardless, boat safety inspection is not required here in NJ.

If you're referring to how often I safety inspect my boat, I do a quick check before every outing and a more thorough inspection a couple times per season.

Around here its not if you get boarded, its when you get boarded.

I get a CG inspection every Spring. The inspection usually negates getting boarding the rest of the year.

i had mine inspected for the first time last year. called up the uscg aux. and they set up a time at my convenience to come to my house and inspect me. had me a good time talking with the inspector and got my sticker. all for free of course. think i'll do it again this year and also in the years to come.. just makes me feel better that someone in authroity also thinks i have all my ducks in a row too..
