At this point am willing to try anything I just want to get that boat on the water
Yea i was thinking 7 out of 8 isnt to bad but i would want to get that fixed hopefullyvjust stuck since it hasnt ran for 9 to 10 years and Roughly between 700 - 900Except for the one cylinder the numbers are good. Most likely a valve issue
The one cylinder should not cause it not to run in the water. What is your idle rpm, 600 ?
If accurate 700 to 900 is more then enough to keep it going. Its a
Is that the exhaust? Or where should I lookIt could be the exhaust is mostly plugged up. It runs on land because there is no back pressure. In the water the exhaust builds up and is unable to be fully pushed out
Noted i will look into that when I get homeNot so much there, but those areas can cause issues. The back side of the exhaust goes down to the drive in a Y pipe. Where the left and right side join together before it exits can get clogged if things drop down inside it
The y pipe going down was no build up or anything in there looked fairly cleanNot so much there, but those areas can cause issues. The back side of the exhaust goes down to the drive in a Y pipe. Where the left and right side join together before it exits can get clogged if things drop down inside it
Thank you for your help. I used 2 different gauges both read the same. Someone mentioned to me something to do with the propellerIf your compression gauge is accurate then motor is good enough to run even with the one low cylinder. I'm out of ideas
What was your procedure when you tuned the carb?Anyone have anymore ideas before I take it to a marine mechanic.
