There are still 5 of them left Peter. Maybe you have a friend here that could nab you one. It was $38 shipped in the US.

Ouch, why are my fingertips burning? :D

This is the stand alone kit (supplied WITH it's own digital display and software).

http://www.iboats.com/mall/index.cg...mputer&**********=108202552&*******=099936312

This is the sender only, a Navman FF or GPS unit already has the software built in (I suppose I should have mentioned that earlier), no need for a seperate digital display.

http://www.iboats.com/mall/index.cg...mputer&**********=108202552&*******=099936312

BTW, if you couple the sender to a GPS, it gives you MPG, GPH etc. Very handy for finding the 'sweet spot'. I imagine that the flowscan does the same thing.

It must be that I'm so prolific that it is hard to follow me around. :D

Thanks for those clarifications Aldo. I will study up.

The good news is that this laser Tachometer seems to be very accurate and easy to use. Since I altered the hook up of my onboard tach according to alternate instructions from MSD, it began to operate normally.

The laser Tachometer verifies this within a very few RPM at 800, 1000, 1800 and 2000 RPM.

I highly recommend that anyone who thinks they can use one, pick one up at the super low price of $38.00 shipped.

Glad to hear it boomyal.
I have used mine extensively over the years even to the point of checking shaft speeds and blade RPM in a large sawmill a few years ago when I was asked to set up the governor on a GM 6-71 that the operator had repowered hhis mill with.
That saw bench had a 6 ft diameter saw blade that was whistling by the time we had finished with it.

Regards,
Peter
