Very Close to buying, 00 Stingray 200lx or an 03 Bay. 185

Hi All,

I am very close (tommorrow) to choosing between a 2000 Stingray 200 or a 2003 Bayliner 185.

Stingray - has meter - 139hrs, 4.3 EFI, Merc, Thruhull Exhaust, very good cond with GPS, carpeted floor

Bayliner - no meter, est. 100-150 hrs, 4.3 Carb, Merc, very good condtion, snap in carpets.

The thing I like is the Bayliners snap in carpets, however the Stingray has the luxury and power.

I dont know the history on the Stingray's bellows, how often shoud they really be changed, is it looked at once a year to they show some sign if wear?

Any help/advice would be great, they are both the same price.

my vote is the Bayliner the difference in size of boat, efi vs carb, you will not tell the difference in power. my boat has only seen it's snap in carpet once, that was when it was delivered. been in storage ever since. Bayliners made great improvements after 2000.

also 4.3 in mininum power for a 20 footer.
