I have a 2000 3.1L 225 V-Max. The motor has a new powerhead. But, will not push my 20' Champion past 2500 rpm. The dealership has tried everything they can think of. Including, new O2 Sensor, VST filter, new fuel pumps, drained the gas and oil tanks and much more, I have a list. I am not going to run the boat till this is fixed. Could someone recommend a good mechanic in the NE TENN, SW VA area? I would be willing to bring the boat 6 or more hours if someone has experience in this area. We are stumped.

Shane

Check with Linda's Lakeside Marine at Bean Station Tn. Don't let the names fool you. They are very good.

Thanks Ray, I know exactly where Linda's is located. I have never been in, but I have passed it many times on my way to Cherokee.

Shane

Beautiful area, I will be there this weekend installing Larry's new hot rod motor and will talk this over with them. Email me the list of what has been done at neudecray@hotmail.com so I can take a copy with me.
Who built this new motor? Factory replacement or remanufactored? What caused the failure of the previous powerhead? You can not send too much information.
