i was working on a lake house and there were many boats out, and all the sudden i heard a boat wide open loud like out of water. stopped what i was doing and saw a boat like 100 ft up on land ran up to it and there was no one to be found. i shut this like brand new searay jet boat off before it blew up. started into water to find someone. and then 2 16yr old came running up and said they fell out of the boat. then dad pulled up on a jetski pissed off. those boys were in trouble. sad part was no damage to boat thanks to me shutting it off. it took 6 of us to push this thing back in the water. the good thing was no one got hurt there were tubes being pulled and every thing. cant fix stupid is all i could say to the dad. this was like a new 20,000$ boat that just missed hitting a dock at full speed. when i saw no body around when i got there i feared the worst

the dad was pissed? he should be damn grateful!

I'd rather yell at my kids than bury one.

I believe a little education would have went a long way in that scenario. Dad should have made sure everybody new what they where doing, before cutting youngsters loose with new boat. and then the whole situation could have been avoided. glad nobody was hurt.:)

WOW

Boating can be dangerous.

What if some innocent people were in the path of that unguided projectile?

Glad to hear that no one was hurt or killed.

Suppose some unsuspecting couple in a small boat or kayak were in the way.

It just goes to show that our lives can be changed by some idiot at any time.

Congrats on the save of the motor, unfortunately, you might have given them a second chance to do it again.
