Very small cracks in gel coat and hull stains.

Im looking at a 98 Chaparral boat that except for the hull being stained from sitting in a dock during the summer looked great. One thing I did notice is that in about 8 spots on the runners the stain would be black instead of brown. Less than 1/2" lines that you could feel little bumps/cracks? Im guessing that these are spots that the gel coat cracked/chipped from hitting something? They are so small that I never would have even noticed them if the hull wasnt stained and they were a different color right there. Is something to be concerned about? The owner lives out of town and I talked to him last night. He told me the mechanic that maintained the boat would be able to meet us on Sunday when we are going to take the boat out. The guy seems really straight forward. He wasnt even there and invited me to go look at the boat, take the cover off and do whatever I wanted when looking at it.

How do I go about removing the stains?

Well we bought the boat! There was a boat mechanic that was there and he looked at it for me. Said the spots were in the gel coat only and it shouldnt be a problem. I bought some Atwood hull cleaner from Wal Mart and have done a test wipe on the hull. Stain should come out fine. It looks like the real faint stain will be the hardest to come out. Im going to try that with a scrub brush.
