Didn't have a clue... It's now 0920hrs. Never got to the forum last night while I was at work. Got no bad weather at all last night.

This is the first I'm hearing anything about bad weather. I'm about to go to sleep, 'cause I work again tonight. It's been clear here for the last couple days... It was supposed to rain all week, so I wouldn't be caught surprised by bad weather. I'll look in to it before I head to work tonight.

It is supposed to weaken before it gets where I am on the East Coast, should be calmer when it gets to VH, sure hope so.

yeah that system heading out of Texas yesterday looked to be more serious then the one that Hit GA a couple days ago, Happy that Van got a quiet night though!!

Yes and it still looks pretty hot, was just on Yahoo msgr with a friend in Thomasille, that is South of VH, he said it was getting real windy there. So still may be rough when it gets there.

My wife told me this afternoon that it's supposed to storm worse than it did the night of that hail/rain/fog. It's lookin' pretty ugly now.

I was speaking to nlain on my way to work and he said the same.

We'll see what happens with it.

Went outside right after typing that last post, and it was POURING rain. Got my keys out and ran about twenty feet to my truck to get my jacket. I was completely soaked. There's a fair amount of lightning, too. The news said that there have been 70 tornadoes reported already. My wife told me that she heard 54 have been confirmed.

Just an update...

Rain stopped more than an hour ago; but now there's a very light drizzle falling. It's little more than a heavy mist. No wind. Tiny droplets falling straight down. Probably about a 500' ceiling.

By the time it got to me it was nothing but a little rain, no wind, no thunder and lightning, not even a hard rain.Talked to my friend in Thomasville this am, he said he got about 10 minutes really bad then nothing.

Well I passed my Integrity Interview, moving on to Polygraph and Psychological, then Medical and I should have a job...

BTW - I caught this thread after checking the weather last night, and watch VH's responses. Glad y'all were okay to the south. Things quieted down here in TN today (wasn't that bad at all despite the warnings we got). Looks like we're getting an extended tornado season this year though.

Sad part of that is, just like WARNING labels explaining obvious dangers ... someone, somewhere, sometime ...

At least you'll be able to confidently look at the others during command call and know that they had to admit having their "hams" pressed to the rear glass of someone's dad's minivan back in the late 80's too.

LEOs don't get enough credit for the job they do out there. Most of 'em don't make quite enough money for a job that requires kevlar every day. Best wishes on the rest of the process.
