My boat has been running great so far this season... knock on wood:) any way just this past weekend i notices while underway i am getting a vibration in the floor and i feel it in the steering wheel. Its a 1985 mecruiser 260 with and alpha 1 drive. The prop is in great shape so I feel it could be the Ujoints. I did notice as i trimmed the boat out that it would get better or worse depending on how much trim i used. When the drive is down it gets worse. When its trimmed out it goes away alittle bit. Any Ideas???

Re: VIBRATION while underway.

gimbal was done last year. But I am kicking myself because i never pulled the drive this year. I'm assuming the u joints dried up.

What do you mean by "Dried up" if they were underwater last year and not replaced, then you found your vibration.

what i meant by dried up is I never greased them this year. All bellows were done so I do not have any water in there.
