This has to be one of the coolest videos I've seen sent to me. A bird's eye view of a fighter pilot at work. Enjoy.

Yup, lots of fun. The only thing that I have ever done aerobatics in, had a prop on the front and the available power just isn't the same as a jet - especially one that has more thrust available than what the acft weighs! Pulling the nose into the vertical and accelerating from that point just has to be about the best "ride" around! I suppose the space shuttle has to be pretty cool too, but you can't go "yanking and banking" in that!

Great video. Really gives the feel of being in the cockpit.

One of the top 10 things I'd like to experience in my life, a ride in a combat jet. Have had the opportunity of sitting in the pilots seat in both a combat ready CF-18 and one of the Snowbirds acrobatic teams jets. Very cool !!!

Now if only I could get in the air.

You used to be able to get a back seat ride at one time, I think they called it an observer ride, missed that one duhhhh, mind ya almost got run over by a cf 18 while I was 100 feet up a pole once, jerk

Cool vid, I remember when I was in service and got ride in an f4. Almost lost what I didn't eat many times. It takes a lot of training and special people to pull the g'ss that come with that territory.

We always loved seeing Tomcats fly over. Generally at about 200 feet. The noise was deafening, and you could feel it in your chest!!!

I think they liked buzzing us too. They'd sometimes pull up at about a quarter mile and just go straight up and up.

Always made me envious.

Re: View of a Fighter Pilot.

Dumb question from a non-pilot: What is he controlling with his left hand when he is raising it up?

Amazing field of view out the back of the canopy. I'll bet many a WWII pilot wished he had the same. I know that later P51's and P47's had the bubble canopies but many others did not.

Yeah, I believe he's just holding on for dear life. I know if I was in there with him, I'd have both hands probably covering my eyes, screaming like and alley cat run over by a truck, and likely making a mess where I shouldn't...
