Viking 10hp motor or Chrysler 10hp motor?

which one should i get i dont know much about either not sure the year of either but i am told both run great, i am looking for a motor for a flat back canoe, both are for sale around 300 bucks, not sure which one to get but anyone know anything about Vikings and Chrysler and about which one i should get ??????

I can't see it making any difference. Wasn't the Viking made by Chrysler, and just another Chrysler under the skin?

Is your canoe rated for 10hp? Seems like a disaster about to happen unless it is.

Personally I can't see buying a motor of a company that has been out of business for 24 years even if you count Force your over 10 years out.
Motors are way,way too big for a canoe even a 20 footer.Canoe is intended for 6-8 mph max. For the 300 you could get a real nice 3,4,5,5.5 or 6hp
