Viking outboard 5 HP

Hello all,

I am planing in bying a viking 5 HP but the seller is not sure what year the motor is and I need to figure out this because the motor might need a new ignition coils. Anything will be helpful

Well, first item of business is you need to come up with a model number before we can answer your question. If it is a Viking that was built by OMC, and has the OMC Universal Magneto, it is a piece of cake--coils are available right here at iboats.

Good Morning all you Viking owners. I have a 1965 or 66 Viking 5 hp. The skell is broken and I am wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to get one to replace it. Any and all info will be greatly appreciated. Sorry this was done as a reply, but couldn;t figure out how to post a new question. Thanks again.

You need to first figure out what you have. The Vikings those years were made by Chrysler, but were not 5hp.

At the top of the list of threads you will see a big button that says "Create New Post". Click on it.
