Hi,
I have recently purchased this vintage aluminum boat. I have gone through the entire boat, but cant seem to find any ID on it (yet). It has a lot of old paint on it that might hide something though.

I believe its from somewhere between the late 50`s to mid 60`s. Correct me if im wrong :)
Its 16ft long.

It has lived most of its life on the Hudson river as far as i know, but came to Norway (on the other side of the pond) some years ago when the owners moved here.
Its stored in a barn until next week, so im not able to get any better pics before that.
Anyone recognize who made this boat based on this pictures?
I have found many pictures on the internet of similar boats, but i think not a 100% match yet.

Best Regards,
Marius

Welcome aboard Marius:

Look around HERE. There's a list of Aluminum Boat Manufacturers from the US down the center of the page.

Welcome aboard Marius.

She looks pretty good and she is an oldie. One detail to look for when going through the Fiberglassics list is the chine/strake that extends from the side up to the top of of the bow. That is a unique, identifying feature I've seen, but don't remember what maker. Good luck searching.

Thanks GA_Boater :)
I have noticed that also, seems to be kind of unique.
Browsed through a lot of photos already, but not something with a good match yet.
I will post better pics as soon as i get her out.

She looks like a very clean little runabout. VRU nice,.. enjoy her.

Unfortunately I can't help identify her either, other than agreeing that seam is a bit unique (which I can't remember either).

Crestliner? The rivet line down the side is pretty much standard for a old riveted boat.

Could be, but from looking at pictures i have found so far, the rivet lines on my boat doesnt match others that i have seen. Other than that, there is many similarities. I hope it will be easier to identify it when i strip of the paint and get better pics :)

Btw, there is some huge letters/numbers on the side of the bow (visible through old paint), some kind of registration number maybe? Will that be to any help at all?
Its something similar to this:

If she was registered here in the States at all, then there would be some numbers from that registration. It would have related to the title/registration paper that would have been with the boat and would have identified the make and model in the registration. BUT ... who knows if it made it to Norway with the boat?

The first two letters in the code will tell you which state it was registered in last.
