In hopes someone out there can help me.
I have an old vintage clinton 7 HP K700 series outboard motor, that will not even fire. I rebuilt the carb, the pulse pump is working just fine, the reed valves are like new and sealing tight, the points are clean and gaped at .20, the spark plug is new and has a nice blue spark, The compression is 80 PSI. The issue is, it will not even fire even once. I have tried spraying a little gas mix directly into the carb throat, and after sever pulls, pull the plug and the spark plug seams very dry. What am I overlooking that would not make the piston not suck gas from the carb?
Many thanks for some answers or where to look next.
