Mabey your hair dryer is not hot enough. Try to get an industrial type dryer. I borrowed one to take a name off my boat, and it came off in seconds.

WD40 or Goof off and a razor blade has worked for me, but ditto the gouge problem. Take it easy.
Have you tried paint remover?

Have you seen the little plastic things that look exactly like an old single edge razor blade? They're actually pretty sharp too....but not sharp enough to gouge paint. A friend in the body shop business showed me one once and I bought a box at the local auto pts store. Take a HEAT GUN (not a hair dryer)...warm up the surface.. (don't try to burn it off) get the little "razor" blade started under a corner and work it. They work very well.

Yeah you can use the plastic blades with a heat gun, work pretty good on stripes that arent all beat to hell. Im telling you the wheels are the only way to go on tuff stuff though.

Is there a repaint in the future? Go ahead and use an orbital sander. It sounds as if you have tried everything. I am surprised about the eraser wheel and everything else you have tried!

3M makes a "permanent" adhesive for some of their vinyl and that sounds like it. If anyone here is Prior Service and remembers the old Post Stickers ...... they NEVER came off your bumper.

Yup repaint is the end result....I am going to roll and tip. It is getting cold here in Pennsylvania so time to move indoors. Will try it this weekend!
