3 days ago I received my Vonage VOIP setup. I am going to evaluate it for a while to see if I want to cancel my landline phone service. I have to say that I am VERY pleased with the quality of the calls. Plus all the stuff that comes for free with it that I have to pay for with my phone company... caller id, call forwarding, etc. Has anyone else tried VOIP?

Re: VOIP

Yes, we have it here on Long Island through the cable TV, works fine and what a deal it is at $35 a month for unlimited use and so many free extras. However, I didn't switch, our cable TV company has a long track record of starting out cheap to hook you up and then the cost sky rockets. They did this with cable TV, internet access and soon with VOIP. I'll wait and see,,

I have Vonage which is an independent...only thing it has to do with the cable company is that they use a broadband connection. Costs me $29.95 per month.. unlimited, etc.
