Re: voltage readings

Put the voltmeter on the battery terminals with engine off, then with engine running. The voltage on the terminal block is AC.

Re: voltage readings

Good, your rectifier is at least partially functional. Now see what it reads at around 2000 RPM with some load on it (lights, radio, GPS, etc.) to see if both sides are working. It should increase.

Do you have a tachometer connected?

Re: voltage readings

Will check that next. I was only getting around 9v ac on the 3 yellow wires, seems i've read that you should get alot more than that. Yes i have tach and it works fine.

Re: voltage readings

The yellow wires are the charging system for the battery and the pulse for the tach.
