Volvo 200HP/AQ280 Intermediate shaft bearing greasing

Hello fellow boaters and Volvo Lovers!!! As the Title says I have a Volvo 200HP with AQ 280 Drive and I am attempting to locate the hole to grease the intermediate shaft bearings. In the photo attached I removed a stainless screw and it looks like in this hole there is rubber covering it. I am suposed to grease in this hole with a needle tip on the grease gun? If so how many pumps? I do have the leg removed right now so should I pump until I see it push through the seal in the transom shield from the outside seal?

The bearings in the housing are sealed. If there was no water in the bellows leave them alone. If water was in the bellows then start pulling the engine. The rear bearing can be replaced without removing the engine. The front one only comes out after the engine is removed.

The bearings have an inner and outer seal but they are not sealed bearings, based off the manuals anyway. I'm just not sure how to add some grease in them via this hole in the attached image are not. These are definitely greasable. Any one who has regreased these bearings please chime in

Sometimes what the manual says is very good information. But you have to keep in mind if the bearings were replaced in the past. If you gently pull out the rear seal you will be able to see the bearing and if it is unsealed have someone watch while you pump the grease so it just starts to come through the bearing, by that time the front one should have enough. The seal is easy to push back in place.
If there is a thread in the housing it will be 1/4” 28 which is a zerk fitting thread or 1/8” npt.

Put in a zerk.
You might have to tap the hole?
The bearings are not sealed.
If you get the zerk installed make sure you add grease as the motor turns.

Is it making noise?
Yes, then start taking the motor out, starting with the drive.

So right now in the picture attached the hole had a bolt in it that i removed. Now if I look in the hole it looks like there is rubber covering the hole. It may have a slice in it so is this the proper place the pump grease into? And that rubber will open up a little to let the grease flow?
