volvo 3.0GLP-D - Manifold Assy

Hey guys,

Quick question, just stumbled upon Volvo Technical Bulletin, which states that either K&W Copper Coat, or Permetex Copper Spray gasket is to be used when fitting the manifold and riser together.
Here in the UK, its impossible to find either product, but we do have Loctite 5920, which is a silicone based copper RTV....would this be suitable?
Also the bulletin states that the stuff should be put on the flange of the manifold and riser...but I have a metal spacer in between my riser and manifold (not the 3" spacer) its more of a shim which sits between the gaskets, am I to coat his aswell???
Any advice appreciated

No, Copper coat is NOT an RTV sealer. You might want to give Google a try and see if there is a similar product to the copper spray in the UK, maybe even a call to your local Volvo dealer would be a good idea. It's not just a Marine only item, have you checked your local automotive parts stores?
