Volvo 8.1L Gi-A misc connectors

What I've wanted to do for some time now was to connect this engine to my NMEA2000 network. Unfortunately, I've not found a source that shows how to do so. Could be this engine is just a bit too early (circa 2000) and the harness is not so equipped. I've hear of Deutsch-type connectors being a key clue, but have not found any of those yet. There are three strange little half-moon connectors, one with a filler plug, the others without. One has a blue/white tracer wire (not pictured), which in Yamahas can be an N2k feed. Here's some pics. Any additional clues would be helpful.

I believe those are trailer mode power lines for your drive. Unlike a merc the volvo drive's do not all have a trailer mode one just trims all the way and and your done vs a merc that will pull the drive way up after you use the trim up switch.

You'll need to confirm what ECM you have but most likely you'll have a MEFI 3 ECM. That I'm aware of, non of the MEFI ECM's are J1939 compatible. (< J1939 data link/can bus) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAE_J1939.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NMEA_2000

On later model engines, Volvo now uses a newer designed ECM module that's used with their EVC electronic platform that's NMEA 2000 compatible and Mercruiser has their own style ECM's for the NMEA system as an example.

Tail_Gunner is correct, The plugs shown are for the trim system and won't have anything to do with the NMEA system.
