I have just made a engine and drive conversion on my Century mirada 270
From 350MAG and alpha one drive too a Volvo with duoprop.
The engine is a Volvo 570A v8 275 HP. and the drive is a Volvo DP290 with gear ratio 2,30-1
It is from a boat with a Volvo v6 430A
i know the 570A comes with a 1,95-1 Gear ratio
I just tried my boat today and it only runs app. 15 mph and 3000 rpm and cannot push the boat out of the water an into plane.
I run with B7 props and will try a set of B6 props tomorrow.
Do you think that the gear ratio is way off and other propellers wont fix the problem, ??
