I need your help in deciding if the Duo-prop is worth the extra $2000. Currently the new boat with new engine is a Volvo Penta 5.0L with a single prop. I am told the duo-prop may replace the single prop for an additional $2000. The whole outdrive has to be changed if i go from a single to a duo??? if so then i suppose his additional price is fair. if only the props can be changed with the current outdrive then maybe i am getting taken advantage of. we will be using the 22 foot boat to pull teenage boys on skis and wakeboards and sometimes more than one at a time. based on this will i regret not having the duo prop for what i understand is mainly more power initally, plane faster, and 12% better fuel efficiency with the duo prop? hope this made sense. thanks for all who will help me. this is all out of my league so i am trying to learn.

I have the same engine (single prop) in a 19' Glaston and it handles like a dream. I usually fill up the boat(6-8 adults) and can still easily pull 2 skiers up. I would save the money for more toys. :)
