Volvo Engine Warranty

I am in the process of purchsing a boat. The seller is telling me that the engine is still under warranty and also has an extended warranty through Volvo. Is there any way to verify that the engine is under warranty and also has an extended warranty. I have tried to call and email Volvo but have received a response.

Check with your local VP dealer. Have the SN for the engine and drive handy. They can look it up for you.
