I am looking for some insight. I recently purchased a 2007 Four Winns. It has a 3.0 and we ran it long and hard this weekend. It ran well but I am concerned that when I had it maxxed out at 43 miles an hour it was pushing 5000 rpm's. It has a 14.3X19 aluminum prop. I am considering moving it to a S/S 21, I was told that this would lower the rpm's when maxxed out. Any thoughts on this issue?
#2 It seems pretty loud when running hard. If I am doing 30 miles an hour it is just fine at cruising but when I hammer it, I can't even hear my cd player. Might be my hearing....... My car mechanic was up this weekend and he drove it. He said it sounded good, a bit loud but everything was working correctly.
Any thoughts? I did insulate the motor cover but it didn't cut down any noise. The motor does have a trolling motor mounted above the prop and exhaust on the motor shaft and my mechanic suggested that this may be a reason for the exhaust noise bouncing back to the boat. The trolling motor is a great feature that we use every day, so I will live with the noise a couple a weekends a year by running it hard with tubers.......
Let me know what you think. Thanks for your input.

P.S. I also blew two fuses on my blower this weekend. Do you think the blower motor may be going bad?
