Volvo Penta 5.0 carb 220hp or efi 270hp

Looking to by the Glastron Sx 195. I can get one now with the carb 220 hp engine or wait and order the GXI package 270 hp. Looking for any advice. Called every dealer around LA (all the way to Pheonix, and all have the boat with carb in stock none have the other. The boat is mainly for water skiing. I can save a couple thousand by buying a 2004 model off the lot. Wondering if anyone who has one could give me some advice on whether it's worth the money and wait for the fuel injected version. Thanks

It was interesting to read about all those people trying to convince themselves that carburetors are better than EFI.<br /><br />Do they work-yes. Are they better-no. EPA had a lot to do with automobiles dumping, but that was not the only reason. User freindliness and driveability had a great deal to do with it.<br /><br />NASCAR is an anomoly. Bad comparison.<br /><br />Get th EFI. 50 HP is 50 HP. The resale will be much better. Buying the carb instantly "dates" the boat.

Thanks DJ, I agree, gonna order the EFI... I got 20 years out of my first boat and plan to have this one another 20.... I might as well get the best....
