Volvo Penta 5.7L PEFS (boat year 2001 - engine year 2000) – Audible Alarm with New Oil Pressure Sending Unit

I replaced my OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT (3857532) and now I am getting an Alarm sounding twice every few seconds. When I disconnect oil pressure sending unit the Alarm goes away?

Any thoughts please?

Any help with trouble shooting this would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the wrong sensor, I cannot find a 5,7L PEFS anywhere, might be a good idea to check your model.

I have a 5.7 gsi pefs. it has 2 oil senders. The one you replaced goes to the gauge and detects what the pressure actually is. The other is just a switch too tell it there is pressure or not Basically a switch that grounds. See the two on the attached diagram.
