I am having an issue with a 1983 bayliner... idles great, trolls good...When i give it some real throttle it'll totally just stall on me. Cleaned out the Carburator right out.. mine is 83 Bayliner. same series too.. Tested it at home and it worked just great, hooked up the hoes to it. Was fine and dandy... Then launched it into the water, we throttle it and it's back to where we started. Any Suggestions of what could be causing the issue?

I launched it today, and somebody mentioned to me that it could be an Outdrive Linkage? Could that be part of what might be causing the Stuttering and Stalling ?

"They" probably thought it was like a Mercruiser with a shift interrupt system. Volvo doesn't have that. So shift linkage has nothing to do with it.
My guess is a proper carb rebuild and tuneup and it will run fine.

Cleaned out the Carburator right out..

Did you clean all passages and verify the accelerator pump is working. Did you install a new carb kit?
