Volvo Penta motor and outdrive combo

I recently became the owner of a 1983 Beachcraft 18.5 with a cuddy cabin. The motor is a Volvo Penta 255D and the outdrive is a volvo penta 280. I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on this combination ie: Size litre/cubic inches, HP, manufacturer. I haven't gotten into it enough to have the serial numbers yet.
