Volvo Penta raw water pump leaking

Can anyone tell me why my raw water pump leaking? put in new impeller and o-ring. My boat is a 2001 Larson LXI, 4.3L GL PEFS, SX-M Stern drive

Ayuh,... There's a bearing,& seal in there, must be worn...
It might be rebuildable,... If not, replace it...

It's leaking because something is not sealed properly.

You failed to mention where it's leaking, so that makes it a bit hard to say exactly what is causing the leak.

Its leaking through the weep holes, when i replaced the impeller it only came with an o-ring, should it had come with an sealing ring too?

When it leaks out of the weep hole, it's time to replace the pump. There is a seal on that shaft, but that seldom cures the leak, and it's not normally replaced but can be purchaced seperately.
