I have read a bunch on here about overheating and im not sure if i fall into that category. I also read that the penta run at about 200.

I have a Penta 230 A and SP Drive.

The engine has a brand new inpeller and gaskets and its definetly circulating water through. New Oil and oil filter. New thermostat (Part 875580 from iboats.. it didnt specify opening temp)

My Temp Gauge on the dash shows me running at a approximate 210. (3/4 between 100 and 250). It stays there on plane, idling , going slow, going fast, pulling a skier..

Am i running hot?

If so is there a way to lower the running temp?

Ayuh,... Water Boils at 212?.... Sounds Hot to Me,... If the gauge is Right of course...

I don't do Volvos, but I'd think a 160? would be used with raw water cooling,+ 180? for closed cooling...
Either way,.. I get concerned when I see 200? on the gauge myself...
