i have a 19 ft bayliner aq125a with a 270 outdrive..no trim tabs..my problem is that when i go from 1 to 15 miles an hr. my sterring is fine..but when i go WOT my steering pulls real hard to the left and i have to fight to turn to the right..if i let go of steering wheel it will make a fast left hand turn..no power sterring..does anybody no why this happens

The exhaust port on your outdrive is also an adjustment to compensate for that issue. Allen head bolt from above loosens it to adjust.

Ditto, I've been adjusting mine to help this problem and it works well. Had it turning hard left and adjusted the exhuast port a little and tried again till it was good. You'll need a 1/4" allen key and just experiement with small changes and try it. Do it with engine OFF!

This is in the operator's manual. If you do not have one you can go to www.volvopenta.com and do a publications search in their parts and service section.

now that i think of it ...the exhause was turned when i bought the boat and the wife said it needs to be turn..i guess that what i get for the wifes advice..but i want to thank all of you for the help..
