Volvo Penta SX-M Exhaust Flappers

Just posting this, for those who might be re-doing their exhaust on old OMC V6s, so they get the right parts the first time.....and for those who may be re-powering older boats that originally came with non vortec V6 engines, to the vortec V6, which may need both the revised elbows and the check valve....

[Q1] Can anyone tell me what year this engine is, and if it requires flappers?
