You should really get a service manual for your engine/drive....the real Volvo one. I am getting my info directly from the manual. If you had one, you would probably have this fixed or at least troubleshot by now.

Up in reply #4. I posted a link to the OEM manual that covers the trim system. Nothing in the drive manual on the electical part of the trim.

It's in the electrical manual. I should have said set of manuals.

has the electrical manual link that Don posted previously. It does not show the trim limiter however if the boat has one.

Help!! I have a 2005 Volvo Penta DP-S drive and having trim problems. The trim guage only reads the trim location if it is all the way up or all the way down. So I have no idea where the prop is unless it's in one of those positions.
Any help would be great!!

You should start a new thread. Your trim sensor has failed.
