Volvo Power Trim problem

I have a 1992 Wellcraft Eclipse with a Volvo 500B (GM305) and a DP-C drive. Just got the boat on the water the first time tonight with only one problem. My trim switch on the throttle handle does not work. I have a seperate trim system which is 3 buttons that control the trim also. They are 3 buttons ran vertical. A red button on the top, and a up and down button. This system works great. I also have the "fancy" digital trim gauge. The trim gauge works and tells me the position of the drive in all positions.

Is there a seperate relay for the trim switch on the throttle? I have the volvo manuals and there is no schematic for the trim system. Does anyone have a shematic that i could look at to figure this out? Or can someone point me in the right direction to figure this out?

Re: Volvo Power Trim problem

I would say the switch in the T-Handle is wired in junction to the other 3 switches and share the same relays, have you tried checking for voltage to the switch? if you do not have voltage trace the wire to the power source and if you do you have a bad switch
