Volvo SX with Hydrofoil?

Trying to improve my holeshot when pulling skiers. I have a 2007 20 ft Glastron with 5.0 GXi and SX-A drive. I have tried a few different props with some success, but would like to use a hydrofoil to get the stern out of the water faster. These worked great on my previous outboards so I figure they may work well on an I/O. Is there a foil out there to fit a SX drive or is there an adapter kit? I have another concern in that the drive/exhaust plate seems to ride low in the water when on a plane and worry if the foil will be in the water at high speeds.

Ayuh,....

Hull mounted Trim Tabs are Way Better than a hydrofoil on the drive....
Less Stress on the drive too...

Forget the whale tail. I had one on mine and all it did basically was slow me down with minimal improvements in hole shot.

Got rid of it and put on the SX smart tabs. Man what a difference, the boat would just jump out of the water. Got my speed back and then some.
And also they let you stay on plane at slower speeds which saves on the fuel.
Look into them before you make a hasty decision.;)

Smart Tabs all the way, I have run both through the years, tabs all the way, they will do everything advertised.

smart tabs are the best bang for the buck, if you can spend more then go to adjustable hydrolic tabs.
