I have a volvo penta 500B with a DP-C outdrive. I have a trim switch in the throttle, and a trim control panel as secondary trim. It is the three button switch with a red button and 2 white buttons with arrows (pictured below.)
The trim control unit works, but i was wondering if i can bypass this switch. It is kind of a pain to trim the outdrive up high enough when i am going to beach the boat. You have to press and hold the red button, and then press the white up button all while trying to steer to the beach.

Thoughts?

I don't have a schematic, but my off the hip guess is you would want to wire a double pole single throw button in parallel with the red and white buttons.
