Vonage? IP phone anyone have one?

Vonage is one of the companies $15 a month for 500 anytime minutes. <br /><br />You just need a dsl or cable modem...I pay about 50 right now for basic phone<br /><br />It is supposed to work pretty well.<br /><br />The only issues I know of are<br />no 911 service calls, as of right now<br />and<br />if there is no power there is no phone, but we have 2 different cell phones so...

I've had Vonage for about 5 months. It works great.. I love it. Except for when the power goes off during a storm or the cable goes out.. which isn't very often. I still have my landline phone but with the very minimun service to keep it working. If I could get cell reception here in the gully I'd drop my landline totally and just use the cell when or if the cable went out. I pay 24 bucks for unlimited Vonage usage. Oh, I have 911 service with my Vonage.. must depend upon where you live.
