VP 4.3 GL maintenence parts

Hi,<br /><br />I need to buy an impeller kit and thermostat (as well as the related o-ring and gasket) for my 4.3. After looking around on all the parts websites and having them give me different part numbers for everything I want I've become a little confused. My engine's serial number is 4012083031, and I've assumed it to be a B revision of the GL series because that's what is stated on the manual. Stated below is what I am looking to buy, if Don or anyone "in the know" could run a check and make sure these are the right parts I would apprecitate it. <br /><br /><br />3862567 IMPELLER KIT (Volvo Penta) <br />3856961 THERMOSTAT (Volvo Penta) <br />3852071 O-RING (Volvo Penta) <br />3852111 GASKET (Volvo Penta) <br />7743365 SERVICE MANUAL (Volvo Penta)<br /><br />Thanks a bunch!<br /><br />Dan<br /><br />p.s - I'd look at the tag on the engine, but the boat is 200 miles away

You do in fact, have a 4.3GL-B. You also have a SX-M 1.79 gear ratio drive, SN 4202069430<br /><br />Your part number 3862567 is the correct number for that impeller kit.<br /><br />Along with the service manual for your engine, you will also need the following manuals.<br /><br />Electrical, Carburetor & Ignition 7743454 <br />Wiring Diagrams 7743606 <br />SX-M drive manual 7743008

Don,<br /><br />I believe the 3856039 kit is a more universal kit that also covers the 3862567. The kit comes with 5 or 6 different pump cover gaskets so that it covers more models.<br /><br />The reason I say this is that I was also given the 3862567 part number and when I went to the dealer, received the 3856039. The impeller number itself is a completely different number which matched my old impeller.

Bruce,<br />3856039 kit has been superseded to 3862567.<br />I think you got a older kit.
