I have a 1995 johnson 130hp v4, and was having an vro alarm at idle , it would beep every 2 seconds. The alarm only went off after idling , when I WOT OR REV it up the alarm went away. So I replaced the fuel bulb and added some new clamps to all the hoses on the fuel and oil lines coming off the vro. Just started it and the alarm doesnt come on any more so hopefully it fixed the problem.. now my vro clicks about every 2 seconds while idling . Is that normal? I thought I read something where it says normal was a click every 20 seconds ?

Ok scratch that..I got the alarm to stop finally, but it runs for about 7 mins and starts to cut out and want to die, until I reach up and pump the fuel bulb and it stays running again ..soo..maybe a bad vro?

this is on the fuel side of the VRO and not the oil side correct? if it is you can just purchase a fuel side VRO rebuild kit. If the Fuel side Diaphragm is split then you will definitely need a rebuild. Very simple process.

Yes that is correct , there is a fuel side and air side u can replace. It's the fuel diaphragm that is cracked st the edge , I went ahead and bought the kit to rebuild, it is quite simple rebuild
