Re: vro conversion

His carburators are probably dirty. I'd blame that before the VRO2 - What year/make is this engine?

Re: vro conversion

it is a 1990 WHAT? i agree it still sounds like a clogged jet, need to know what motor, sounds like the mid speed jets were missed which is very common. also need to know so we can tell you the proper replacement pump.

Re: vro conversion

sorry guys its a 1990 evinrude to better describe whats going on from a dead stop as soon as he opens it up it picks up the motor just sounds like it shuts off then picks up fine some times he can only run at half throttle cause at full throttle it sounds like its just choking out we pulled the carbs off two times and cleaned pulled the jets out cleaned them to still same thing everyone that i have talked to said get rid of the vro pump so we unhooked the oil side and he mixed his gas still the same thing is going on the only thing that I could think is the fuel side of this vro pump is bad i know there is a diaphram in there maybe its bad he wants to put a regular fuel pump on the motor any help would be greatly app. thanks outlaw

first of all they should be rebuilt and not cleaned. taking the time to disassemble the carbs and not putting kits in just does not make sense. also it does not have mid range jets as someone suggested. it (or they) has a high speed and low speed jet.
